The Egyptian Vulture is endangered across southern Europe, North Africa, as well as the Western and Southern Asia islands and is the smallest of all European vultures with a wingspan of 5.5 feet. Egyptian Vultures feed on mammal feces, insects in dung, carrion, and some small animals. It is the first recorded bird to ever be protected by law because a Pharaoh felt they were important natural cleaners.
