Description

Though snowy owls mostly inhabit the arctic regions, they are nomadic, known to follow the lemming and vole populations. When lemming populations crash, they can be seen in the northern United States and southern Canada. Snowy owls have recently become targets of poaching for their eyes and feet, which are traded in Asian markets.
